Promote Fair Voting & Civic Engagement
ESD is committed to ensuring that every eligible voter can participate freely and fully in the electoral process. We conduct robust, nonpartisan Get Out the Vote efforts during even-numbered years and special elections, mobilizing state chapters and national networks. Whenever practical, we collaborate with partner organizations to amplify our impact. As threats to voting rights intensify, we are expanding our efforts to confront voter suppression and safeguard voters at every step of the electoral process.
Action Team
This is a team of like-minded elders who dedicate 5–10 hours a month to leading our work on fair voting and civic engagement.
Keep ESD and EAN informed of nonpartisan opportunities to promote and defend fair voting & civic engagement both nationally and in collaboration with state chapters.
Nurture partnerships with organizations that have track records of providing impactful opportunities for citizens to promote and defend fair voting and civic engagement.
Support increased voter participation and civic engagement of historically less-involved groups.
Our Accomplishments & Future Focus
